Do you need this, or just a clean?
This is the question worth getting right, because it is the difference between R170 and R450.
- A deep clean at R170 if the colour is still there underneath and the shoe is simply dirty. Most pairs that look tired only need this.
- Colour restoration at R450 if the colour itself has gone: faded panels, patchy suede, a midsole that has yellowed past whitening, paint worn off at the creases.
Send a photo on WhatsApp before you book. We would rather talk you into the cheaper job than take R450 for something a wash would have fixed.
How it works
- Send a photo first. Colour work is the one service where we want to see the pair before you pay. Some fades come back completely, some do not.
- Book online once we have agreed it is worth doing. A 50% deposit confirms it.
- The shoe is washed first. Colour cannot go onto a dirty or damp shoe, so a full clean is part of the job rather than an extra.
- Colour is built back by hand, matched to the original, then sealed and finished.
- 3 to 5 working days, because the drying between stages is not something that can be rushed.

There is no 24-hour express on colour restoration. The work happens in stages with drying between them, so the time is the time.
Questions people ask
Will the colour match exactly?
We get as close as the material allows. Suede takes colour differently from leather, and a panel that has worn thin will never look untouched. We will tell you honestly before you book if a perfect match is unlikely, rather than after you have paid.
Is the clean included?
Yes. Colour cannot go onto a dirty shoe, so the wash is part of the R450 rather than something you pay for separately.
Why can't I get it in 24 hours?
Colour work happens after the shoe is washed and completely dry, then in stages with drying in between. Rushing it is how colour lifts later. That is why express is not offered on this service.
How long does the restored colour last?
It is sealed and finished, and with normal wear it holds. It is not a force field. Scuffing the same spot repeatedly will wear it again, the same way the original finish wore.
Can you do suede and nubuck?
Yes, and they are handled differently from leather and canvas. There is a R50 material surcharge, which the booking page adds automatically.
What if it can't be fixed?
Then we say so before you book. Not all damage is fixable and we would rather tell you that up front than take the money and hand back something you are disappointed by.
